Greetings and Happy Valentine’s Day! However (and with whomever) you choose to spend Valentine’s Day, the team at ReNu Insurance Group hopes you’ll remind your loved ones how much they mean to you this February and that you have a safe, fun time. Below are some activities we think you’d enjoy with friends or your special someone.
FASCHING Sock Hop Oldies Party
Dust off your suit and skinny tie or circle skirt and cardigan, because for their annual masquerade ball, the American German Club of the Palm Beaches is hosting a 50’s Sock Hop! Come on down to the Club in Lake Worth on Saturday, February 9 for a night of dinner and dancing with entertainment by the Bob Houston Band. Tickets start at $10. Have fun getting dressed up in your best 50’s retro gear and dance the night away!
Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show
From February 13-19 the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach is hosting the 16th Annual Jewelry, Art & Antique Show. This is a massive, prestigious, highly anticipated show with over 100 exhibitions from artists all across the world. Tickets are $20 and include admission to the Palm Beach Fine Craft Show, an impressive showcase in its own right, featuring unique, handcrafted jewelry, clothing, glass sculptures and more from the nation’s top contemporary craft artists. If you love art, attending these events is a must!
If you love bicycling or just want to burn off some of those dinner and dessert Valentine’s Day calories while enjoying beautiful views of the coastline near Jupiter Island, sign up for the Giro di Zeppoli Bike Tour! The morning of Sunday, February 17, the Valor Cycling Club will be hosting two bike tours—25 miles and 50 miles—both beginning at the Town of Jupiter Beach Access Parking Lot, to accommodate cyclists of different skill levels. Registration is $35 for the 25 mile course and $45 for the more quick-paced 50 mile course. Come work up a sweat, have some fun and enjoy the gorgeous scenery!
On Friday, February 22 the Ivy Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization which provides scholarships and other youth programs to help students in the Palm Beach area pursue higher education, is hosting their 6th annual Taste of the Vine benefit event. This year’s theme is Rosé on the Riviera. Live entertainment will be provided by the Derek Mack Band. This event is $50 a person and will be held at the Riviera Beach Marina Event Center. Enjoy your Friday night at this fun-filled event if you like live music, good food, great wine and supporting the local community!
