We have been waiting for Congress to give us a permanent solution on flood and all they did was postpone by extending the current program through the end of the year. I’m sure you will agree we need a permanent program, not a band-aid fix.
NFIP Reauthorization Update – Flood Insurance Reform
The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) has just received a short-term extension, with no reforms, through December 8, 2017.
NFIP flood insurers and their agents will now be able to issue new policies and renewals through that date. This extension allows all NFIP stakeholders to continue to serve policyholders until Congress can more carefully consider long term reforms.
